One satisfied customer, Maddie M., praised the efficient seating and quick service, highlighting the filling nature of the meals and their reasonable pricing. However, not every experience is flawless; feedback like that from Jennifer A. reminds us that while the atmosphere shines, the food can sometimes miss the mark in flavor, though the ambiance and service remain commendable.

Despite mixed reviews on certain dishes, the overall consensus is clear: Alberto's Cantina excels at creating a lively setting where the margaritas are acclaimed as 'the best' and the outdoor patio offers a delightful place to soak in the sights and sounds of Main Street. This place was easy to access and in downtown Pleasanton so lots of parking around. We were seated immediately. The waiter gave us chips and salsa as soon as we ordered and handed the menus back. I ordered a shredded beef enchilada and my friend ordered chile rellano. This plate was filling. I was very full for a reasonable cost.

This place has a perfect spot in downtown Pleasanton. Service was efficient, constantly checking, food came quick. Drinks were good, as were the chips and salsa. We ordered the shrimp enchiladas with black beans, which were delicious and the street taco trio, which came with three different meats ( no rice and beans, so we ordered a plate of these on the side). The tacos were okay - I eat at a lot of taquerias, so these didn't quite stack up to what I am used to. The refried beans and rice were lacking in flavor; not a bad flavor, just really no flavor at all. My guy and I really debated as to what we wanted to rate them. He wanted to give them a five, I wanted to give them a three. And the three was based solely on my food - not his. He did taste mine and agreed it wasn't what we had expected. I have been here multiple times over the past 20 years and the food has consistently been okay, but what it lacks in flavor, it makes up for in service and ambience. If I come back again, and my opinion changes, I will definitely update my review.

This is one of our favorite go to Mexican restaurants in the tri valley... And you can't beat the fact that it's been around for more than three decades and the quality and the level of service and the margaritas... The best ! I love the fact that you can sit on the patio and watch people strolling and cruising down Main Street
